2H and HB are just descriptions of how soft the lead is, I dont really understand your other questions, but your drawings are coming along nicely.
Dont worry about "ruining half way decent drawings". If you obsess over ruining drawings you think have positive potential, you will never finish a drawing. Just experiment, try new things, and yes, sometimes a bad wheel or a bad windshield angle can ruin a drawing. But its all a learning experience, I have a notebook full of drawings, and when showing people, I skip 15-20 pages at a time because I dont like 75% of the sketches in there. Not every drawing you make will be perfect, so dont be afraid to screw up. Thats how we all learn.
Keep it up!

thanks for your comment, I guess ill try and find some different pencils... IDK I just dont wanna ruin something that I see as "good". Ive never been able to really draw, but now that I put my time into it its acctually becoming decent.
Thank you I will try my best maybe move away toward imports after this next car.. (Widebody Celica)
lol
