Steering,front axle,rotors...What is it?!?!

Ok, the past two weeks I noticed when I'm making a sharp turn, i hear that annoying noise that sound like a typical axle wearing noise. Tonight it did it and I hit the brakes and held the steering wheel all the way to the right to just take a listen and the steering wheel kept jerking back and forth(left to right). What could it be? Do the axles need greasing? Could it be something like my rotors or steering? I have no clue but something needs to be fixed. Help me...

Check the condition of the cv boots they can break then all the grease leaks out and metal on metal = noise + vibration/ you annoyed = new cv shaft.

What exactly is a CV shaft and is it hard to fix? Expensive to get fixed?

It's the official name for the axles in the front. They aren't too much to fix.

Too much? Any idea what it cost be for my car through a mechanic? Or if I did it myself?

No idea how much at a mechanic, to do it yourself would be about $100 for each side. It's not too bad to do yourself as long as you have air tools and some patience.

Yea..no air tools. Probably cost a lot to get done. Sucks!!!! Think Ill be okay to drive my car for a bit til I get it fixed?

You should be ok for a little while but i'd get it repaced as soon as possible.

Turns out there is a chunk missing from my p/s belt. When I turn my steering wheel, the pullley was smacking around like crazy making noises. Fixing it tomorrow, better than new axle!
