boost timing on supercharger

Ok, I have a 97 WS.6 and I want to put a supercharger on it. I'm heavily leaning towards a vortec system that is designed for the LT-1. It's easy to bolt on, runs a conservative 6 lbs. of boost, and will give me about 100 horses to the wheels (i think). Also, I can change up my pulley to run about 8-10 lbs. safely on the stock internals. However, I have a couple of questions. Please keep in mind that I want this car to be a great, well balanced daily driver, not a track car. I like the balance of the WS.6 now, I just want a little more power (somewhere in the neighborhood of 380-425 RWHP)
1) How much boost can I safely run on the stock internals?
2) I'm also thinking of adding a shift kit to the tranny to handle the extra power and for firmer shifts. Good idea?
3) Also, a custom PCM tune, prolly from pcmforless.com. Anybody give positive/negative feedback on that?
4) What about a 52 or 58 mm throttle body as well.
5) In addition to these mods, what else will I need to keep my car a well balanced daily driver with good reliability on the boost?
6) Also, I want this car to hook easily and have most of the power in the top end (after about 3k to 3.5k). Can anybody help me with boost timing issues and get my power to hold off until those revs?
Thanks in advance, any opinion is appreciated.

ok, i would have a shift no matter if you have the supercharger or not, they are great to have, extend the life of your tranny. I would run a 58mm with a supercharger.

A supercharger is controlled by the speed of the motor. Faster the motor is spinning the more boost you should see.
I am not exactly a pro when it comes to boost. I know a decent amount...but sometimes info is off a little...or a lot.
1. Depends on tune really. I would say safely....7-8 PSI.
2. I would.
3. Gonna need a computer tune no matter what.
4. Wouldn't hurt.
5. Luck. Not many boosted V8's are daily drivers. Mileage goes down, power goes up. Making it hard to afford to drive and hard to actually drive in winter.
6. Like I mentioned...superchargers are ran off of motor speed. Not sure how control-able that is. Hooking....gonna require suspension and a rear end.
What exactly are the goals for the car?

The goals for the car are simply a good supercharged street car. I've been debating for a while now whether to buy an 03 Cobra but I like my WS.6 alot and just want to spend like 4500 bucks on supecharging it and setting it up as a good street car rather than dropping 25k on a cobra....not yet anyway. I don't want to do anything insane with it like I said....just about a 375 to 400 hp motor for the street which an SC seems like an easy bolt on to do it with. Also, I want the SC cause it has the potential to do alot more should I decide to make the car a track car. What suspension would you recommend for hookin' up with 400 HP? I have tubular subframe connectors and a strut tower brace now with the stock WS.6 shocks and springs. This might sound stupid too.....lower rear end gear ratio? down from the 3.23s? prolly not but an idea

Toss a supercharger on it.
Call it good. Should be enough for 375+ RWHP I would think.
Going down in gear ratio will affect performance negatively.

cant you get a centrifugal super, that sort of acts like a turbo? something that slows the spinning @ higher speeds so you can control the boost..
