Just bought a brand new...

Hey everyone, just wanted to let everyone know that I just bought a brand new 2006 VW GTI! It was kind of a dark horse, but after I drove it, I was sold. And for the bargain basement price of $23,750! lol. More then I really wanted to spend but its ok. Its a sweet car and I cant wait to pick it up tomorrow.

One word of advice: change your oil. I've read that some VW's are tough on oil. A trip to www.bobistheoilguy.com will be very educational for you.

Grats on the GTI. What options did you go with? Any plans for modifications?

No, it's pretty base. It came pretty nicely equipped from the factory. The only real options were leather seats, XM radio, and a sunroof. I like the cloth seats(after seeing them a few times), I already have a Sirius radio, and I would have like a sunroof, but the cheapest package it came with was the XM one which was a $1500 package so it wasnt worth it.

I might do some just kind of non-performance mods, BOV, tinted windows, that kind of stuff, just until I pay the loan off. Or atleast until the warranty expires.

I also forgot to mention, it's the 6-Speed.
