what kind of stall should i get

Im getting my tranny rebuilt & i just wanted to know what kind of stall i should get, the place im getting it rebuilt at said i should get a 2,000 stall converter since it's a daily driver. what do u guys think.

it all depends on who you talk to. Some of the more hardcore guys will tell you 2400, 2600 or higher depending on your power. But that will be very hard on your stock transmission. I think a 2000 would work and I certainly wouldnt go any higher. jsut my 3 cents though...

The tranny is been rebuilt and it's going to be raced preped. the guy at the tranny shop said it could handle up to 450hp.

I wouldn't like it to launch too hard because it's my daily driver. So with having a raced prep tranny, that should help my 1/4 mile time right?
