Powerglide

i want to install a lokar floor shifter on my powerglide but it says aluminum trans case only. how do i know if its an aluminum case? its just the stock powerglide on a 64 nova...

Chevy redesigned the PG in 62. All 'Glides since then are aluminum and basically the same. Novas only came with the aluminum units.

ah! thanks. do you know which would be better the transmount one or the basic floor mount shifter? or whichever other variations there are.
