95 Licoln

I have a 95 4.6 Lincoln with a bad transmission. I'm trying to find out what transmissions will work on this car.

If you look on the transmission's pan, I believe it will say AX4N. These were also used in Ford Windstar vans, I believe. I'm not sure what else. Check out www.car-part.com (http://www.car-part.com) and put in the required details, and it will show various locations near you that would have a used transmission that would work. Best of luck to you. You also might just contact a local AAMCO dealer and they could tell you and give an estimate of cost to replace the unit with a rebuilt one.
