Running a 97 F350 PSD XLT auto 4x4
I don't have a speedo or mileage (http://campaigns.ford-trucks.com/campaigns/direct.php?log=yes&bannerid=159)reading, my ABS light is permanently on and the overdrive button on the gear shifter isn't working - overdrive won't engage and the light flashes all the time. No cruise control either.
I've checked all the fuses (http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3478451#), esp (http://campaigns.ford-trucks.com/campaigns/direct.php?log=yes&bannerid=179)no 13 and they all seem fine.
Any ideas?
thanks

Did this happen all at one time? All these problems could be related cause theyre all tied together. Its probably shifting hard and erratic too? Doublecheck the fuses, but dont just visually inspect em. Pull em and check em with an ohmeter, or ckeck em live (installed , key on) with a test light or voltmeter. Check your diagram to be sure, but fuse #8 should be for the speedo. If not look for one that maybe says PSOM (programmable speedometer odometer module). It controls the speedo display and also recieves signals from the RABS module and sends info to the PCM, and the speed control servo. Together they help control the trans shift points. I think all your problems are related, and im guessing the PSOM is either bad or not getting power. Run the diagnostics on it, it may give you a code to work with. I got one in a while back that kept intermittently blowing the PSOM fuse. When i found the cause, it was the speed control servo! Let us know. Good luck.
