I am looking at buying a 1998 Durango.... what are the draw backs to owning one? are they prone to any problems or are they the godfather of all vehicles...

I am a Avid Mopar Fan (Mopar or No Car) but I would NOT EVER buy one of these pieces of junk.
The new ones (2nd Gen) are OK (only with a HEMI) but the 1st gen Durangos are a bunch of trouble. If you are a mechanic and know about these vehicles and can fix (upgrade) the multiple reliability problems they have, I would give you the thumbs up, just don't pay very much for it b/c you will need the cash for repairs.
