engine swap for 1982 corolla 4 door?

well a friend of mine has 3 (yes 3) 1980-1983 4 door corollas (one was bought for 50 bucks even (cnd) and is in mint condition (except the engine doesnt run)

so he is wondering what engines can swap into these cars easily for more power to weight ratio (weekend drag car/daily driver)

hey ive been looking around a lot , i heard the 4AGE motor is good for 81 corolla's im thinking about geting one. (i have a 2dr sr5 5spd)
