Hey guys, this is my latest project, other than finding a nice case for my computer and CHEAP white leds local for my supra.

It's my ITR, my second model, well here are some pics.

I decided to put a nice hood scoop into the hood, i hope it turns out well:)

And this is the color i'm going to be using, it's chromo spray paint with clear blue airburshed over top of it to give it a really nice bright metallic blue color (i think it looks like the impreza rally blue, but that's just me) and i plan on doing a type of racing strip design across the hood over the fender(the strips being silver/chrome)

Haven't done the rims or the interior yet but i'm thinking of a white/light blue two tone interior with either chrome or white rims.

Tell me what you think so far.

Looking good so far! I also used transparent blue over chrome for my 300ZX (its in the gallery). I agree, the resulting color is very nice and very metallic.

Yeah, so i saw, I was going to do the exact same thing with a 300zx but i saw that you did it:) so i opted to buy a ITR and do it to that instead of buying a 300zx:)

Thanks for the comments

Well, i got to thinking, if i mod the front, i might aswell mod the back:) However i need some feed back on this one...

I'm thinking about putting a dual coffee can sized exhaust going through the back bumper with some, here are some pics of the spare bumper i was messing around with...(sorry for the quality, my friend has the good camera)

The metal tips i used are actually some electrial supplies, they're called "steel crimp connectors". I work at hardware store and i walked by these one day and though "Man, these would make great looking aftermarket tip" so i bought some along with some white drying epoxy paste.

Tell me what you think i should do, if i do it i will make sure they are nice and lined up straight so they look right, i did these fairly quickly with a drill press. Oh and i'll also putty up the existing hole it came with.

hey man i like it although the tips are a little too big for me. Also maybe have a gap between the body work and the tip, in reality the hole wouldnt be just right for the exhaust to fit through. Just something to think about!;)

I think the exhaust looks great like that but I would have to see a pic of that practice bumper on the car. Also I have a problem with my Itr see I was going to have it all red so I painted the hood red with a mirror or chrome look on the inside so now if I go LeMans like the white and orange ones that race but do white and red do u think the red hood would still work or do u have any other color sugestions?

Welp, here is an update on my ITR, i've added some side skirts to it, this was my first attempt and i think it came out pretty well, the pictures however didn't:) i'll post them anyways so tell me what you think. I'm not sure if i want to do anything to the front of the fender/wheelwell (and back) to match the side skirt, i'm afraid i'll do something and it'll look pretty dumb, i think it's looking hot right

I'm also in debate about the color again. i'm thinking about now a grey with a cool darker(not too much darker) grey pinstipe/design down the side and on the hood.

:bloated: hey im workin on my integra and want to make some side skirts so can you explain to me how u made ur side skirts:bloated:

nikanora

Well, i thought it was kinda easy for my first shot at it...

http://firepro.netfirms.com/itr/itr6.jpg
http://firepro.netfirms.com/itr/itr7.jpg

Since i really didn't know what i wanted to do, i made that big flat side skirt, i then used a mechanical pencil and i drew out some designs on it. After i found something i was happy with i took one of my (three) dremels and put on a sanding bit, not a one of those disc(cut off) bits, it uses sandpaper...and i used that to sand it down to what i wanted, very quick, very easy and i proceeded to do the same on the other side, the only hard part was to get both sides similar.

Oh, the whole thing is epoxy putty, no styrene.

:alien:thanks for the help:alien:, but one more thing  where else can i get epoxy puddy besides a hobby shop? can i get itat like a home depot or something:confused:

nikanora
08-06-2002, 04:36 PM
Yes, you can get it at places like Home Depot, i happen to work at a hardware store myself and that's where i got mine, it's called "PC Marine Putty" or something similar to that, that have a couple of different types(i think)...that or they are just different colors, the one i got dries white, others will dry other colors. However, i'm not sure if there is a large difference between epoxy PASTE and epoxy PUTTY, they'll have both, the one got was PUTTY, so make sure you watch out for that. You may also want to try and call them before you go out there though.

Newest update!!!

Welp, i decided how i was going to paint it and then i went at it...

http://fpfc.virtualave.net/itr/itr14.jpg
http://fpfc.virtualave.net/itr/itr15.jpg

But i still need to gloss it over since i used flat paints when i airbrushed it, i find they spray much easier...

And i've yet to deside on rims for it... i like the front chromes, but i don't like chrome too much. I was thinking about painting it white...or keep the back ones OR paint the back ones white:)

Input would be great..

Thanks. Nika

I think the front chrome ones look the best on it.

:D  Wow, I really like how it looks, especially the paint scheme... I really like the 2 shades of grey!! I think you should go with the back wheels and paint them white!!

flyonthewall

That looks pretty wild! Interesting approach with the paint but hey, why not?;)

Front wheels suit it better and give it a more aggressive look.

I think the ends of your skirts need to be sharp and not rounded.

I painted the stock (black) wheels white, if you search the history for "Update pics of ITR" or somthing like that, you should find it. I woulld post pics now, but I got rid of the white wheels (too small) and bought aftermarket ones.

nikanora

i got it from where i work, a hardware store, you should be able to find normal epoxy putty (not paste) at any good hardware store for cheap...
