top speed

I have a 2002 Grand Prix I just got the DHP PCM and i have got the test it out on the BIG END yet, so does anybody know what to expect on the top speed I have 180 stat, cat-back, k&N air fliter, performance shift. The highest i got it to is about 114 then i had to slow down i didnt have the room to keep going

i just put a DHP in mine and i got the needle past the last (115) mark, just to see if it went past 108, and shut it down...probably will never drive it that fast again...LOL

I have a GT

I have a 97 gtp with heads up display. I got it up to 127 till it shut off. (no performance mods)

OK, basic lesson in unit conversion:

[47,520,000 ft/min][1 mile/5280 feet] = 9000 mile/min
[9000 mile/min][60 min/hour] = 540,000 mile/hour

fyi:

[150 mile/hour][5280 feet/mile][hour/60 min] = 13200 ft/min

so, 47,520,000 vs. 13200.....HUGE difference...

looks like he just forgot to divide by 3600... OOPS....

just wondering how much you got yours for because i paid 225 for mine at pfyc and then they dropped their price to 99. needless to say i got 116 back .
also was wondering if the mechs had any trouble relearning your crank position sensor.
i have an 01 gp gt and i know i was doing about 120 and was still going. this did wonders for my car. i would recommend it to any one.

I have a Gt and i'm thinkin about tryin these Stock GTP out here B4 i did anything to my Car I ran a 15.6 once and 15.7 on average and now i have CAT-Back, K and N cone, DHP PCM, Performance Shift, 180 Tsat. and B4 i got the DHP and the 180 Tsat I raced a GTP and a Regal GS their my friends cars. and if my go from like70mph and go I can stay right next to the GTP but the REGal Gs i pulled ahead right b4 i shut off at 108 so i think i can hang with them now< but both of those cars had stock air filter <completely stock> and i had air filter flowmasters with straight pipe all the way to the mufflers. ( no CAT)<illegal>. so what does a STOCK gtp run in the 1/4 mile< i have a 2002 GT>

Whats up Andrew? A typical Grand Prix weighs in around 3500 lbs or less.

All I can add is I have a confirmed 104 mph trap speed in the 1/4 mile. Around the year 2000 I had it up to 128 mph going on open interstate to Phoenix with the stock PCM. Currently, I have re-programmed PCMs from DHP and Intense but the GTP is dragstrip only now.

had to try different years with mine until he got the correct year for the PCM that was in my car...turned out to be a 99....

Not a whole lot Bob. Went to the car show here, at the I-X. Center, and i saw the challenger(sp) and it looks great. The muscel cars are comming back. Did you get a chance to go to any car shows?

Car show....must be nice. Yeah that retro Dodge Challenger is awesome. :bigthumb: If I can find it I'll post a pic of my '70 Dodge Challenger RT 440 Magnum. It was the second car I ever owned.
