This was a new one on me. I bought a set of plugs for my intrigue this weekend. I wanted AC Delco Platniums. They handed me a box that looked to be AC Delco but inside were NGK Platnium plugs. Box also indicated, made in Japan. What's the deal here?

That's who make Delco plats, but they should say Delco have have the Delco pn on them.

I agree with Max. They should still have the AC Delco logo and plug number.
Also, NGK makes the AC Delco Iridium spark plugs like the 41-101.
Can you post the numbers?

Yep, I went to do a tune up on my 99 Intrigue (3.5 liter) and the Delco box also had NGK inside. Bought them at Murray Auto Parts. They checked the other boxes and thats what they all had inside.
I pulled the original plugs and they were also the NGK. Guess they speeded up the process of all our work going away from the states.
The plugs do work well though.
