2000 Engine in a 1998?

I have a 98 blazer LT with a blown engine. I have found a 2000 engine with low miles at a good price. I am wondering if there are any problems installing this engine in my 98. Thanks in advance.

Only diff I know for sure is that the 99 up have the air injection pump so the exhaust manifolds will have pipes and check valves for them. The pump mounts under the radiator and pre fires the cat conv. Would think that if you plug those holes your 98 computer would be OK. A side note the 00 engine requires the air injection so an 00 computer and pump if in a smog test state and they saw the holes plugged but....

Just use the Exhaust manifolds from the '98 motor.
