Hi all,

This is actually my first in progress thread. The kit is Tamiya SL 500. I know its an old kit, but I love Mercedes SL, so I will try to do my best on building it.

I used Testors Gray Primer to cover the body and check for flaws.

The chassis is somewhat done, and I gave it a wash with TS-71 Smoke.

Test-fit the engine to chassis. Engine compartment is almost done too.

Hope you guys like it..... thx for checking out this thread. Any comments are welcome.

Nice work so far. These cars rock! Is that a Merc v8 from the 500SEC kit in there? Keep it up :sunglasse

The wheels are actually 18" Gartmaier (Brabus Monoblock IV Multi Piece), but I also added 19" lips.
I am planning of painting the wheels in gun metal.
