wHAT IS THE EASIEST WAY TO REMOVE A BATTERY FROM THIS MACHINE?

Unclip the black plastic covers and fuse holders from the top of the battery and under these you will see the battery. Disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive. Remove and replace. Connect pos cable first then neg.
Things to watch out for are (1) make sure every electrical item is turned off. (2) make sure you know the code for resetting the radio. (3) the starting procedures for petrol engines with starting and idling problems should be carried out as follows: Turn on the ignition for 30 seconds, then switch off the ignition. Then start the engine. (4) the automatic opening/closing function on the front doors will not function after the vehicle battery has been disconnected/reconnected. To reinstall this function after reconnecting the battery, close the window and hold the key in the locking position in the door lock. The automatic closing function will then be reactivated (3 and 4 from the owners handbook). This is for Australian delivered cars ...Yank ones should be the same I'd imagine.
