Just wanted to see what you thought about this lambo door conversion. I did this one and it wasn't too bad to do, just some welding! Here's the link! http://www.freeengineinfo.com/index.php/cool_cars/lambo_door Enjoy!

These were pre bought gt factory hinges. Nice but not cheap or automatic. I have been looking at some different models that are electric and auto open for cheaper. They show up on the ads on that site. Can't remember what the name was.

www.deftracing.com is the only place that offers a true bolt in kit for our cars. Everything else is a universal kit that requires massive modification.

Has anyone heard any news on the new VLS system? I think I remember a thread about this a while ago, but no ones talked about it since. I havn't even heard about just basic info, like price, etc. But it will be badass:grinyes::grinyes::grinyes:
Not like our cars need to get sexier, but w/e.

Never go for universal kits or kits that "may require modification"
We bought one for a 200sx (240sx to USA) and oh my god, it was fecking awful to fit!!
Ended up we had to cut a 600x300mm panel out of the car then weld a new one in, oh then weld the kit on then cut it off then weld it on then cut it off while trying to get it to sit right, then said bollocks and just bolted it on!! By this time we'd been at the one yes one door for 6hours!
Back to the point, universal kits are exactly that "universal" pay the extra and buy a "Garanteed to fit" direct bolt on kit

are there any bolt on kits out there that make the doors go straight up and not the the side like the one from deftracing.com because I have seen them but I forgot who makes them, and also what do you guys think about the gullwing door system from GT Factory

Gull wings are abit gay in my opinion.
As for doors that go straight up that would require huge HUGE huge modifications to the body of the car as the B pillar would have to be redesigned as would the Apillar and front wing and and and..............
There are a few bolt on kits out there but they can be expensive

There is no bolt on gull wing system for our cars. We dont have an upper door structure to pivot on. There is a guy on 3si who did up a gull wing setupp but it required massive work. It looks awesome though. Nothing a novice could ever do.

^I remember that car, it was stunning! Truly a work of art. Of course, I seem to remeber a few downsides...like the fact that it took a bajillion hours of custom fabrication. But definitely worth it.
