k20

i found a k20 for sale and it came with the ecu, the axles, the shift links, and the tranny. problem is the tranny is auto and my brother said that if i wanted a manual, the axles and shift links wouldnt work if i put a manual transmission in my car, and the ecu might work but its like a 50/50 shot at that. i was wondering if that were true. someone please tell me.

youll need a 5spd ecu soo noo the auto ecu wont work...getting a whole 5spd conversion will require that you get new axles and shift linkage....basically if you want 5spd the only thing useful in that swap your looking at is the motor

keep the motor snatch the tranny automatic blocks are stronger anyways then get a k20tranny bolt it on then then shift linkage and the ecu and axcels but u can drive the motor with an automatic ecu it just would have the dash lite up until u get the manuel one
