Bay Area Meet

The last one in May didnt really pan out due to lousy weather...I admit I'm one of many that chickened out...buck buck buck...But I'm keeping my hopes up for another one...I heard a few EF'ers from other forums met in San Mateo Coyote Pt...Any one from here attended? C'mon anyone interested in setting up another meet?

Im interested. me and another guy set up the last one. the location wasnt too great.

By the way, there might be a meet in oregon sometime in august too, but we could have a bay area one also.

I haven't really pondered on a good place around here, (East Bay). The Pleasanton fairgrounds looks decent. And about any out of state ones...I'm kinda stuck around here with 2 kids and just moved in to an new house June 1st. But who knows, I have a bro-in law that recently moved to Washington (Seattle area), maybe I can visit him and break my car in...So are you in Hayward too?

I took off my bike rack and had entire car repainted red (original color) just kept all the trims black...I hope it turns out clean.

Sorry Ami...I may install it back in a month or so. I have not totally given up on mtn biking yet. Although I have not ridden since November. This new project (my civic commuter) has taken most of my time (and money).

But who knows, maybe I'll ride next week. How about you, I heard about really good mtn biking trails up in Oregon?

Hey Melt, I have a few stock Civic parts in my garage...like the old front end (bumper and hood), clear corners and turn signals etc...I even have another set of sound system, if you want to upgrade your ride...

Kenwood deck, a/d/s amp (pq10) and powered 8 inch bazooka. Talk to me bro, I can really give em away cheap. Then there's also the carcass of the jdm front w/radiator, 2 sets of auxilliary fans, water reservoir, coolant reservoir, stock horns...:sun:

Around the bay area I usually go to Annadale, Angwin (behind pacific union college) Rockville, and thats about it. I go to skyline park here in Napa sometimes but the 2 mile climb you have to do at first really sux. Annadale would have to be my favorite.

Your in luck...I do have it and it matches your car. The amp is a 4 channel at 50 watts per channel i think and can be bridged to a 2, 3 channels or mono at 150 watts. I will verify and let you know. If you're familiar with a/d/s, it's one of the cleanest sounding amp out there.

How's Rockville?...One of my friends, who lives in Vallejo goes there. I hear its pretty rocky like its name. I usually go at Skeggs pt (El Corte de Madera) in Woodside. Lots of single tracks...been going there for about 3 years and never a dull loop...

Except I havent gone in a while. New baby, new house, new toys...long story. But I might go this Sunday...just a short loop, maybe under 10 miles

I bought it in February, used it for a week and kept it since. I originally bought an Aiwa CD player and twice it broke down. Goodguys was nice enough to replace it with the Kenwood (2 models up) for no extra charge. It has an additional warranty plus the 1 year manufacturers...all receipts available.

i actually don't know. jer rides bmx. i know there are a bunch of great parks in OR. we kept the bike rake off the accord. started looking at it last night and there is a good chance it will fit. just want to get something for the brackets so they don't scratch. i have the kind of rack that goes in the back of the car. but it hangs off the spoiler and he'll be riding a long side me before i stick that rack on the JDM spoiler...hehehe

I agree Ami...but an accord has quite a trunk space...I had a 88 accord lxi once and I put my full size cannondale mtn bike in the trunk...I simply take the front wheels (quick release) and the seats off. fits like a glove..

Hey guys/gals...CRX club is having a meet in San Rafael (China Camp) on the 3rd of August. Any of you guys want to join in? China camp is a very good venue and big enough to hold a number of cars. China camp is off of San Pedro exit on 101. Since we don't have a place and date yet for our meet...it would be nice to show em what we've got. I sent em an email yesterday, if its ok to join in...apparently they sent an invitation to other EF'ers but they havent replied to my email yet.

I will be there, and I will bring the bike so I can hit up china camp afterwards. What time does the meet start?

I'm tempted to bring my mtn bike too, but I hate to put the bike rack on a newly painted car yet...There's this one loop that I do at China Camp goes around 13 miles with minimal climb and all rolling single track...

Yea, I think that loop is the same one I usually do. Havent done anything else, I have only been there about 4 times and my first time there I hit a ditch, went over the handlebars, and broke my collarbone. :( But its all good:D

China Camp has a few parking areas and camp facility. We can just go and find ourselves a spot. But we need at least a few people to show up if we're to make our presence noticed. Do we have a team banner at least?

yeah, they couldnt fit 2 more seats and 2 more doors hahaha. Anybody been to the base of Golden Gate Bridge? SF side or Sausalito side...we can have our meet over there...Fort Point or Fort Baker. Although I'm not sure about Fort Baker because they may have closed the entrance due to security reasons.

Have you been there before, Melt? That parking lot can fit at least 50 cars and awsome view of the bridge. How about Crissy Field? They have a sizeable parking lot too...plenty of tourist that can view our rides...take its picture and bring it home with them, like Japan or some country...:D
