so i got another problem of course i own a dsm. i heard a grinding noise from somewhere on my car and i dont know where as i go faster it gets louder. i thought i was the brakes so i put all new brakes and rotors on and i can still hear the grinding. i own a 92 tsi awd just to say. do you think one of my calipers is locking up cause ive heard of that happening before.

You are going to have to be more specific on the location of the noise. Is it in the front or the back, driver or passenger side? If a caliper were locked up you should have noticed when you changed pads and rotors. Jack the car up in the front and spin the tire to see if you can hear the noise, then repeat for the back. Don't forget to block the wheels when you do it. :2cents:

when i changed the rotors and pads i only checked one side to see if it was moving in and out like it should and that was the drivers side. the pass. side the rear pad had a o ring like creased in it so im thinking that side is locked up but i didnt check it out yet. i think its definetly coming from the front and i cant just jack it up and see its awd.

Didn't see the AWD :icon16: So put it on jackstands all four wheels off the ground.
