What can I expect from the base ZX-3 drivetrain?

I'm thinking about getting a new '06 ZX-3 on the cheap. I don't want an engine that'll start blowing oil at 100k. I am very maintenance conscious. I also expect to be able to change the clutch a couple of times before the manual tranny gives up the ghost. I drive pretty sanely, only rarely jumping on it. Am I asking too much of the stock base Focus? Where can I get a good overview of this engine, also?
Rack options for the roof?
Thanks for any help!

Well the duratec is a rather new motor (04) so there are not alot of high milage ones around in the US...maybe in the UK.

I dont know if this is what you are looking for. But I have 2001 focus zx3, with a 5 speed. 137,000 miles. I rod it all the time and that bad boy is still firm. Love my car. hope it helps a little. it has the zetec 2.0 litre

Thanks for replying. I know the Focus has gotten decent marks for reliability in the near past and I want a car that'll pull strong without becoming an oil burner at 100K. I have one now in my Jetta - 168K and still pulling. It may be awhile before I get into a new rig.
