Models with an Engine ...

Hi.
Meybe You can help me.
I live in Poland / Europe and here it is very hard to find a good models, especially with an engine ...
I have one with the engine and it is fuimi's BMW M635i E.T.C ...
I wanna build tuned car with turbo and other special parts... Meybe You know what other companys are pruducing any models with engines, or meybe You know what other models from Fujimi have it.
I'm looking for an import cars that will look good after tuned - lambo doors, filp flop or other color, etc.

...and I'm looking for an BMW 3 e30 with an engine(six cylinder), 'cose I want to make replica of my own:

with the 2.7 liter engine with the turbine, "schwarz matt" color (now it's "Lapis Blau")and BBS RS1 15/16 inch rims.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of Fujimi, Hasegawa and Tamiya kits are curbside (no engine.) The vast majority of American model car kits HAVE engines on the other hand. Revell-Monogram and AMT-Ertl in particular. They don't have a lot of European and Japanese cars, but the ones they have are decent. The Integra Type R, Civic Si, BMW 320i, and a few others might be up your alley. I don't know how common they are over there though, I know Revell Germany carries some of the same cars...

I forgot write about it, but first model that I bought is Revell's BMW 507 - there is an engine, after that I bought Tamiya's BMW 320i - it have the engine too- but very very simple... and like I wrote i have fujimi's M635Csi - awesome kit with awesome engine...

I would hardly say "vast majority". Tamiya full engine vs curbside is closer to half and half- unless you count all the reissues of the same curbside WRC/Skyline kit with different decals. Want a spectacular engine? Get one of their Ferrari kits. Granted, Fujimi does do mostly curbside, with the notable exception of the Enthusiast line of kits- they all have engines. I don't have alot of Hasegawa kits, but from what I've seen, there are more with engines than without, and they're fabulous.

You're going to be dissapointed with kits of the E30. Fujimi did a couple, and they were horrible. Nothing with an engine. Bimmers have never been a particularly popular subject for kit manufacturers.

Geography hasn't stopped Stevenski, our resident Pole, from amassing an incredible collection of kits in a remarkably short period of time. He's had me convinced that Poland is actually a modeler's Mecca. You'll have to ask him where he got them all.

I think your only options are to use the existing motors like the M30 6 cylinder from the 635, and modify it into your M20B27 motor. Revell makes E21 with the M10 4 cylinder SOHC, and you can add two more cylinders with styrene and putty. Revell Germany (Tamiya)'s E36 has the M52B25 DOHC 6 cylinder, and if you use that, you have to narrow the head and scratchbuild the cam cover. In any case, it'll require quite a lot of modifications, but it's doable, and you already have an ultimate reference.
