Or the one from SBR, It is weird taht Megan racing sells there for 90 bucks, but SBR is selling the megan racing one for 70? wtf? hahah, another thing, I remember Kevin posting teh benifits of FPR, but maybe i didn't keep reading, but how do you hook it up?

When I do my fuel system, its going to be nothing but Aeromotive products. They are expensive but I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. my :2cents:

well I mean Megan racing is a pretty good place to buy it, I wont mind shelling out that extra money for megan racing, but once I get it. How do I hook it up, I got the 255..
Edit: I am talking about buying it from SBR.

Never buy a regulator off of ebay, they are junk. I'm going to either get a megan racing unit or an aeromotive but probably the latter

Does anyone know a thread for installation?

I would imagine that it comes with some intallation instructions.
Did the 1G come with an FPR stock? I am 99% sure that the 2G did, so I would replace it where ever the stock unit was.
From what I understand it just needs to be between the Fuel Pump and the Fuel Rail, but the closer to the Fuel Rail the better off you are. Im not a 100% sure though, because I havn't ever installed one.

Basically all fuel injected cars have a regulators somewhere in the system including 1g's. The regulator goes after the rail on the return line, one side of the regulator is in and the other side is out and you just kind of put it in the system.

If the 1G did I don't see it... I think it is on on of the ends of the fuel rail... Which side though LOL... bah... thank you guys

Correction 1g has the FPR so I just take that off and put the new one on? then how do I get the right pressure setting?

There should be an adjustment screw on the AM FPR and you will need a FP gauge in line before the FPR to see what line pressure is. ;)

IIRC base pressure on a 2g is ~43.7 at base idle so I think a 1g should be around that.

I remember Kevin saying what something about this last week. Let me go check...
Base should be 43 (2g example I guess)
I thought he was talking about 1g's in there, but I guess not. I hope that helps anyway.

and that is the pressure just at idle? with a new FPR, well that almost eliminate fuel cut, or are bigger injectors needed, I only have a 14B. Will that help improve the 13X miles that i get to the tank?

From what I understand, fuel cut is the pump not able to pump sufficient gas and has nothing to do with the fpr.

fuel cut is caused by the ecu "seeing" more air flow in than it thinks it can handle

So then the REWIRE of the fuel pump should take care of that? Sorry for so many newbie questions, It's almost spring so I am getting excited to start working on the car instead of just maintaining it.

1gs have a different stock setting. I think it is 37 base. I did some searching and couldn't find it quickly.

I can find out for sure tomorrow if I remember

Fuel system pressure at idle taken from the Haynes Manual for 1g's:
Manual: 36-38psi with vac hose detached, 26-28psi with vac hose attached
Auto: 41-46psi with vac hose detached, 32-34psi with vac hose attached

Thanks Th0r and everyone else, what about the re-wire, that most likley will take care of the fuel cut right? Th0r did you already get your car>

First off, rewiring your fuel pump causes the pump to flow MORE. You are overrunning your factory FPR currently, why would flowing MORE help? If you get a adjustable FPR then you can rewire the fuel pump, but you dont need to rewire it with the 255lph on your current setup. Even in factory wiring form the 255lph will handle well over 50lb/min of airflow. The 14b at most flows around 29-30lb/min of airflow.
Get the Megan FPR if you want, but personally I would get something that is definately proven when it comes to fueling. Megan Racing is likely good for exhausts, but without something allowing me to monitor the operation of the FPR while boosting I wouldnt want to use anything but an Aeromotive or an SX regulator
That is what a guy said on talk.. He doesn't think I need the re-wire..
