02 passat vs 02 altima

i am new to this site and do not know if this has been asked before and i would like to get opinions from you guys- which of these two cars would u pick to own, and why? i perfer the passat it has a very solid upscale look and feel to it-thanks

:alien: :) :smoka: Recently, I purchased a 2002 Altima 3.5 SE, but I almost purchased a 2002 Jetta GLX (the one with 201 hp). I'm not sure about the Passat because I have not driven the vehicle, but the Altima is really a blast to drive. With a 240 hp V6 and a 5 speed manual, the Altima eats up the road! The only other car out in the market that I would compare performance stats with is the 2002 Infiniti G35. I just watched a program on MotorTrend and they compared the Cadillac CTS, BMW 330i, and the Infiniti G35. The G35 was the hands down winner in every performance test. The G35 won the acceleration test, slalom test, and the braking test.

well since i've never in the passat. the new altima has pretty crappy fit and finish. the interior itself looks nice but if you just touch and feel the materials, it feels cheap. esp compared to a maxima. it depends on what your lookin for in a car. if you want a upscale car, then get a passat. if you want a performance car that can also serve double duty as a family car, then the altima it is.

well... the passat has an amazing interior... a solid trans and will be/is available with the w8... that is one helluva a motor if you ask me... and you did...

i would take the passat, as i feel confident that it is faster, nicer inside, and handles better...
