If the 2.0L Cobalt SS/SC did not have a supercharger kit would it get owned by the just standard 2.4L ss coupe? Do the 2.4L coupes take well to mods?

give it a year or two, they'll be turbo charging the 2.4 cause that's what their doing to the pontiac soltice in late 06 can't pass up 260 HP 260 LB/FT torque haha

If you took the blower off the 2.0 it would have roughly the same power as the 2.2 Ecotec. 145-150 bhp but a little less torque. So yes, the 2.4 would beat it fairly badly. But why the hell would you even ask that?
The 2.4 takes to mods about as well as any Honda motor with Vtec. The major difference between the two at this point is that there are a couple companies that can fully tune the 2.4's pcm/ecu whereas the 2.0 is still locked up.

2.0 would get spanked, it would have much less power because of the lower compression. Its simply not build to run N/A. The fuel system, ignition, compression, cams, timing, its all build to run S/C.
