Compressor leak?

I've a Revell Omega compressor with built in safety valve for letting out overpressure. When this happens there's also a small amount of oil that comes out (see pics). I thought that oil in air is not good? The air that comes out of the airbrush is clean though..
Can this oil do the compressor any harm?

The compressor needs the oil.
You'll probably find the manual actual tells you that there needs to be periodic oil top up at some point on the compressor.
Just make sure you're not seeing any oil in your moisture trap and you should be fine.

Freakray,
I know the comp needs the oil but I can't find anything in the manual about oil that might come out of the safety valve.
Does anybody else has a compressor (any brand) with the same 'problem'?

hi 600sel the knob just to the left of your picture needs to be taken out by unscrewing and any moisture build up blown out i normally set the compressor at about 15 - 20 psi cover the hole with a cloth over my thumb when enougth pressure is there tilt compressor slightly forward and then remove your thumb all the moisture will be blown out do it with a cloth to catch the water or a puddle will arrive on your floor it will be yellowish and dirty but keep doing it until its clean do that every now and again as it stops the inside of the tube from rusting out same for any compresser.
hope that helps danny
