Timing Issue.

Hello, I have a 1988 civic dx. I'm trying to set the timing after getting the head rebuilt. now, on the crank pulley there are two sets of marks, on has two lines, and the other, about 15-20 degrees away has three lines. where do I line the timing mark on the block to on the pulley? thanks for all your help! tkuerzinge

Here you go...
The single mark (should be white) is your TDC Top dead center.
The three others (should be red on outer two) is your advance mark Which I believe is 16 btdc. 16 is the middle mark and the red ones are your limit marks
They are +2 degrees and -2 deg's
So if you are using an non adjustable timing light you need to line up the advance marks.
And if you are doing the timing belt use the single mark (white) TDC.
And make sure your distributor is pointed at No.1 plug wire.
You should have no problem it is easy. SH
