39 chevy help

well i bought a 39 chevy doesn't run frame is rusted, body has been redone, fiberglass fenders(i still got metal ones really messed up need help finding new ones). everything is original on the car, i need help decoding the body tags on it anyone know how to decode the 66 year old body tags:-D. i don't know i saw one of these cars it is beatiful the coupe is i got at least. i want to put a 502 in it or a 454 but i want massive amount of power thats on pump gas and deicent street manors and most of all i want a carbrated light weight motor, yet again need help. i am a deicent mechanic but i am not trained in old scholl stuff so some help from all you old rodders would be more then thanked

I am confused on why you want to decode a tag when you are going to street rod it anyway. If you are going to customize it the original info on the tag will not matter. Is there something specific you want to know on the tag?
