I have a 1987 190E 2.3 that will not keep running on its own. The compression is good. I changed the fuel pump and filter, throttle body, inj fuel distribiter, injecters and spark plugs, distribitor cap, rotor button and sparkplug wires. I can,t get it to go past 4000 rpm,s and it won,t keep running unless i keep the gas pressed down. Can someone please help with me with this.:banghead:

Check your sparks color. If its redish brown, change your ignition coil. Bet my bottom dollar, your coil has went south, and this has been your problem from the beginning. The only other ideas IMO are: fuel pump pressure, fuel delivery pressure at the fuel distributor inlet, (use "T" fitting), OVP relay, or crankshaft position sensor.
