The original 1970 Camaro looked like the 1969 Camaro, reason being the dealerships didn't get the new Camaros until 1970, so the Second Generation Camaro is often called the 1970 1/2.

Yeah... they never "reverted" to the old body style... the 70 (2nd Gen) style body was delayed because of the production delays. Not sure if this is what you're talking about or not.
