how to identify tranny and how much fluid goes in?

I have a 98 ford mustang 3.8L 5spd changing the clutch on it but can't figure out what tranny version I got. How can I tell if it's a T-5 T-50 or T-45? and how much Auto Tran Fluid goes into the Manual transmission?

Hi, blacktone, RE Your mustang trans question, At the rear of the trans is a metal tag with all the info on what type tran it is, Fill the trans with fluid untill it just starts to come out of the fill hole on the side of the trans,,,

i wouldve thought being the model year its a t45 but i read someone say 6cyl had a t5, not sure why that would be but i dont want to say for sure because i dont know. either way it wouldnt make a diff. on fluid; do yourself a favor though and get redline synthetic atf fluid and put that in, itll extend the life of those weak ass t45s
