This is just offered as an option for those members that wish to use AF without the ads. What is the problem with having options?

why not just ask for donations? And a space on the car? What does that mean? I love AF and once I get this new job, then donating to further the cause of the car would definitely be in order, even that + $500, but idk about this whole premium member. sounds as bad as the time we tried adding point or stars to our names for great posts or w/e. Like I said, I love AF. been here over 4 years and I'll be happy to donate, especially if that'll get me in good to fly where ever ya'll be so I grab some photos (my new job will be witha production studio) but idk. Just seems...iffy, ya know Igor?

To me that more or less is asking for a donation it's just that they are giving a little something more for you doing it. I been here for a quick minute but couldn't find a donation site so this is how i did it.
You can look at it however you want: They are trying to sell you a little for a lot
or your donating and getting a small gift in return.

For a month I get this, 'cause all one can afford is amonth or too, then it's over? That's what I'm getting at. At least a keychain. Its not just pop-up ads guys, its ALL ads. No ads even at the top of the pages. When I get a chance, Ill get a screen shot of my page.

But honestly, quit belittling the prices and what not. If you dont like it, dont do it, very simple. But I for one love the Premium status. It actually is faster, and having no ads is nice too. Also a great way to support AF.

Not that I'm worried about it but what happens to a premium member if he/she gets banned? Do you get a refund? How will it work?

Although I have high regard and respect for most of the respective Forum Moderators and Global Moderators I have worked with on AF some seem to have their own agenda and it has nothing to do with enforcing AF rules so you can never be sure.

Monetary decision. Then based on your feedback, it doesn't make sense to get a long term membership on this type of forum. So, I guess I'll stick with month to month.

Now if it was becoming a mandatory pay site, well then ok bitch and moan, but its not. So like I said there is no reason to complain. I've been here for years and have seen people ask time and time again to have a membership fee to get rid of ads etc. Now igor has done it. Good for him.

i agree igor made this optional, if you want to then do, if not dont. there should be no war over those that want to or not. if you like where you sit. then dont move. but if you want to try... then give it a go. i might just try to see if i like it... if i dont then i wont stick with it. this is like getting air conditioning in your car, and some complain that its to expensive of an upgrade for what you get... personnally i can live with the windows down, but i can also live with the pirk of ac.

i like the idea, but i would like to maybe see some decals for our own car whenever you sign up for a year, you know something thats says like "automotiveforums.com" acrossthe back window, it could help promote the site and members would know when we see each other on the streey
