I'm installin my pulley today. Just wondering, when i put my new belt on, how do i know how tight to make it, and is it important to get the tension perfect? Just any little way i could gauge the tension when i tighten the new belt up would be great... thanx guys.

There is enough movement in your tensioner to take up the slight difference caused by the smaller pulley. Since it's all spring controlled tension, there is no tension specification that can be measured at the belt that I know of. I may be wrong, and if so, I hope someone else has the tension spec for you.

It is an auto tensioning system. As long as your tensioner system is good it will adjust accordingly and you will be able to use the stock belt. I'm assuming you are using a 3.4 SC pulley. A Goodyear Gatorback belt is recommended so that there is no belt slippage at high boost/high rpms.

To remove the SC belt, tension is released by turning the 15mm nut on the idler pulley counterclockwise. Reverse to install the SC belt after the pulley swapout.
