hey,
I got into an accident last year, and my xtl ford ranger didnt give me too many problems.
It has a new engine and had a new radio (which got jacked)
anywhoo, I slammed on the gass pedal during the whole accident dealy.
Since then i cant drive it, or shift it to any gears, EXCEPT reverse. When i step on the gas pedal it just reves and doesnt move at all.
I think its the transmission because it cant be my new engine.
Can some one give me some answers? Suggestions?

Check the fluid level and smell it. If it smells a little like someone was burning off some tires that is a sign of clutch damage inside.

Check the cable that runs from your shifter to the transmission.

It's a rwd, the shifter goes directly into the tranny, no linkage to inspect.
