Sorry for the repeat thread...but I think it is worth it.
Found the misfire.
It was a HUGE problem.
Pushrods = Too long. :banghead:
Idle is set at 1150 RPM's. WAY too high. When I get a chance...I will drop it to about 1000 RPM's.

Whoops....I was hanging the valves using the pushrods on the right....
Bet that created a problem. :lol:

Thanks guys.
I still can't believe that after all that work it is FINALLY running.
Sounds kinda sappy...but I am quite proud of myself. This was a first time project for me.

This isn't your everyday LQ9.
It is completely built. Forged rods, pistons, etc...
The LQ9 is a larger bore iron blocked version of the LS1.
Ride?? Sure. Anytime you are in Colorado. :evillol:

where'd you buy you engine? and did you assemble it yourself, or was it a crate engine?
Mr. Luos
03-04-2006, 04:48 PM
Texas Speed and Performance.
I didn't assemble the rotating assembly. I did put everything else together though.
It came as a shortblock.
