Your cool,
lot's of ppl do it I dunno if you have been to any car show's lately. But alot of guys and girls sporting the whole bottle next to wolfer thing. If you want just make sure the bottles always empty before using it when your crusing with your tunes or whatever. Other then that you should be good.

NitrosOxide is not explosive, its an oxidiser, its made to make the combustion hotter, and more powerfull. Subs rattling it shouldnt have any affect at all, other than heat it up some, which you do want to a degree, warmer No goes into the mixture much better, its like a warmed up car/warmed up bottle.

nitrous oxide can most deffinetley explode, oxygen being the most flamable gas in the world can most deffinetley explode. Why do you think they check to see if you have the proper equipment at tracks when your running nos, because its flammable, and it will explode! And nos by no means makes the combustions hotter:confused: Nitrous oxide not only adds oxygen to your air/gas ratio it compresses gasoline, which means more gasoline can be forced into your combustion chambers which in return creates more power! the only thing that would get hotter from nos is the larger combustion.
And the only reason people warm their bottles before use is so their pounds per square inch will increase, how you ask. When anything's temprature is increased the substances atoms move more rapidely which increases volume. So if nitrous oxide which is contained in a bottle is warmed the volume will become larger which will increase pressure.
I wouldnt put nos next to anything that would disrupt the nitrouses job! That being said you can decide what you should do. Oh and what are you running nos on?

Beware, my friend tried to run a 75 shot to his stock del sol. About the third time he hit it "BOOM". He through a rod and locked up his engine. If you are going to run nos on a stock engine make sure you start off with a small shot like 50 psi. If you decide to go any bigger make sure you put in stronger piston heads and piston rings.

Please tell me your kidding. We breath oxygen. You saying I could just take a lighter and stick it in the air and all the oxygen outside would explode?

Ok please tell me your kidding you f--king idiot. You must have failed chemistry. We dont breath pure 02, we breath a mixture of gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, helium and many others. Pure oxygen is very flamable. Why do you think welders use pure oxygen for cutting torches. Come back with a better argument and maybe it will be more fun.:flipa:

actually nitrous isnt flammable, its an oxidizer. it causes fire to react more violently, it, in essence, speeds up the flame. shaking, heating, or anything else like that will not cause nitrous to ignite. but once it is exposed to a flame, thats when it goes, not because the nitrous itself is exploding, but because its causing the existing flame to react.

nitrous isnt pure o2 either. pure oxygen is very flammable, but nitrous isnt pure oxygen, its a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen. hence-nitrous oxide. the purpose of nitrous isnt to "add more oxygen to your mixture so more gas can be added", if that were so, just putting nitrous alone on an engine wouldnt have any effect, you would have to upgrade your fuel system as well to "force more gasoline into your combustion chambers". all it does is makes the existing flame in the combustion chamber burn faster and hotter, creating a more violent explosion within the chamber.

I didn't say it adds more oxygen, i said it compresses the fuel allowing more to explode! But yes it does add oxygen as well, and how can you say it wouldnt have an effect on the car, thats like saying a turbo wont work unless you have more gas, which is wrong!

actually you don't need to change your fuel system not always well not in marginal gains
like a new air intake brings in more air YES?
well the ECU just compensates for it giving out more fuel .

all I am saying is that there are plenty of other things I've heard nitrous called, and I have never heard it called "NOS"(pronunciation - "nause", or whatever...you know what I mean) until that stupid ass movie fast and furious came out. besides, I think the brand name NOS stands for "nitrous oxide systems," theres like 50 other brand names out there and for some reason people like to call it all NOS. Holley makes a kit as well.... does this mean I should go around saying I have Holleys if I have their kit. all I am saying is that this is gay, the movie was gay too, so get over it.

Yes Holley does make a Nitrous kit.
Infact Holley OWNS the company NOS.
So yes, Holley indeed does have its own kit. :D
They also own many other brands of high performance companies.

Vladimer- as far as i know, all the different companies are all pretty much the same, if u have a basic plate kit, it doesnt really matter what company its from, some companies have some pretty cool features, like nitrous express has some selonoid mounting brackets, and NOS has the NOSzle things. u will get the same preformance from any company, but depending on the application, some might be easier to install than others.
