Hey Peeps,
I know it's not the fastest or even a sick swap but I bought a D16A6 for my STD model 88. So,for$250,I bought the motor,MPFI, 5 speed tranny, ECU, basically EVERYTHING except the wiring harness and resistor box. So, if anyone has a Si harness or a resistor box for sale, let me know. Anyway, I'm gonna replace the oil pan gasket, head gasket, valve cover gasket, timing belt, drive belt before I do anything. But, I plan on putting on a underdrive crank pulley and a decent street/strip cam. This should spice things up a bit along with the ported polished head and ported polished throttle body. Oh yeah, the guy modified the injectors to fit his turbo mitsubishi injectors. My car is gonna have a big jump in power from this 1.5 DPFI and 4 speed. I can't wait.

Dude...that is good news on the motor, The STD's are probably pretty light already, so a nice 108-ish HP will be q-u-i-c-k - and probably just as fast as any Si out there, maybe a little quicker given the lighter car ;)
If you don't mind my $0.02, I would also add 'replace the water pump' to that list. When motors sit for any extended period with a tensioned timing belt on them they wear out the water pump seal, then it leaks. Once you take off the timing belt covers to replace the timing belt, the water pump is right there, and pops right off (4 or 5 bolts) and costs about $35.
I would also recommend buying only genuine Honda parts for anything internal (except obviously things like the aftermarket cam) to ensure a proper, correct fit. I would never trust Pep Boys or Trak Auto parts for inside the engine.
I just bought a whole bunch of OEM parts for my ZC at www.hondaautomotiveparts.com , they charge a $5 handling fee for each order, but their prices are great, and after you hit about $40 in parts, you've already saved that $5.

sorry, I forgot to mention water pump. I am planning to do that. Please look at my post "tech info wanted" to post your $.02. I am about to post it now and would like some info on a few things. Thanks.
