I've had this idea ever since my r34 got stepped on. And since last week when my HLJ order got here I've been waiting to start. Since my 1:1 took a crap on me I have some free time. So I started on it....

These two models are.....

Heres what I got so far, the tamiya front, fits amazlying well and believe it or not the wheel bases of the models are the same.

the only hard part I see is getting the back right, I might just have to cut it out and remake it. I will be using the tamyia chassis and modifying the interior to work for the 4 door. MAybe an engine for it to, who knows at this point. I'll see how everything else goes.

And if anyone has any reference pictures I would love to see them since I can't find to many of a stock er34.

Interesting project, any idea on what colour you'll paint the body?

Good luck with the rear fenders, those will be the biggest pain in the entire model that the overall look depends on!

I'd just putty the rearfenders smooth and create a widebody fender on the front.

no color choice yet, might just go white

As for the quarter panels, I was going to cut them out and make new ones, but I decided that it would be way to hard to do. So I'm just going to try and make them look like the R34 quarters look. Since I'm using its front half, it should go well.

No pics of what else I've done, but I'm at the point of no return, the sideskirts have been cut and so has the bottom half of the rear bumper. I'll have pictures when I get the R34 bumpers fitted onto the er34 body.

I probably would have just adapted the GT-R skirts, front and rear bars onto the complete Blitz D1 shell, only because the Blitz overfenders are awesome but, IMHO the "flared out" sideskirts and bumpers are tasteless...I'm just amazed that Aoshima didn't just tool up for a 4 door R34 and add the Blitz kit, rather than tool up for the Blitz car...
Thats looking pretty cool, Keep at it!
