Lowering kit

I have a 97 Sierra, standard cab, short bed, 350. I want to lower my truck, but I was wondering what certain brand or anything I should get. Also I want to get a 2-4 drop on it. Later on i'm puttin bumper to bumper running boards on it. Should I get those before I get the lowering kit or what?

djm is probably the best for the money. and it doesnt matter when you install the drop with the ground effects on it.
