I actually just heard on the radio this morning, one of those dealers advertising and they are selling the 2002 Civic EX for 11k... Now granted it dont have any aftermarket mods, but surely for $5k you would have more than your friends 98 Civic which has about $2k worth of mods and it would be a brand new car....
So a 98 Civic EX for $16k with $2k worth of mods
or
a 2002 Civic EX for $11k with $5k worth of mods

I choose the later of the two....

Probably should inform your friend that when you put after market products on a car you will not get back what you put into it...
A car with mods is not an investment.. Many of the mods that we do to these cars, actually decrease the value of them....

anothing thing.......duel exhaust on a d16y8? i dunno, seems having little/no back pressue on a 1.6 liter 4-banger would hinder performance.

I was just going to mention that part. I wouldn't pay 16,000 for that. For most people, the point of modifying a car is to make it personal and unique, and not to own what is personal and unique to someone else.
