My car i think has become slightly harder to shift as of late, i was going to replace the clutch but that is not the problem i've had a friend and a family friend/mechanic drive it and say the clutch feels fine but maybe the bushings in the console under the shift knob need to be replaced or the tranny needs to be adjusted so im wondering what you guys on here think, and how much on average would both of those cost canadian?

You would think the shifting effort would be reduced as the linkage wears. It would be less precise, but move more like a noodle in a bowl of soup.

Well then the next thing to do it open up the consol and check her out, thats the only way your going to see whats wrong. But 9 times out of 10 not being able to shift outta gear or hard shifts is due to no fluid in resevoir, your master slave cylander is going, so on and so forth. G'luck... how many miles are on the car?
