windows fogging up

Every time it rains at all my windows fog up like crazy. I was thinking that I have a leak in my floor boards that was letting moisture in and that was causing the problem. Just wondering if that was a possible cause

Turn your Temperature Control to the appropriate setting, move the directional lever to the Defrost setting, and move the blower to 4. This will make it go away.

Also, if your car doesn't automatically do it, turn on the AC. That de-humidifies the air.

also try applying rain-x to the INSIDE of your windows. Worked great on my 73 MG. I dont however have many fog up problems with the civic.

Mositure inside the car does make the windows fog up quicker. I'd say try some rain-x or sometime of liquid that is for defoggin windows. they should sell it at your local parts store.

I've used rain x anti fog, and me windows still fog up in the rain, with the switch turned to defrost and the air set on fresh, and the blower on 4.

the rain x anit fog does nothing but cost you 3 dollars.

if it doesnt get better with AC on on top blower speed, get a towel and wipe that shit off.

If its raining and its hot and humid, you pretty much don't have a chance getting your windows unfogged without AC..

you gotta stop having nookie in the car when it rains

ha ha, but i know in my sedan when the windows get fogged up i just roll my back windows down a little bit, and it goes away after a while, and if its not raining too hard ill put the front ones down too.

i think rain x is excellent for the exterior, but i have noticed that if it barely sprinkles that it just streaks... but anything more than a sprinkle and it is great...

as far as the inside, i just crack my rear windows... i like the smell when it rains too, so that's an added bonus

Crack your windows just a little bit hen it rains, and it should help, crack them just enough to feel the fresh air, but not enough for the rain to get in, this usually works for me

you might have a leak somewhere in the doors too....have you left ur windows down when it rained recently? my friends doors leaked and got the felt inliner of the window wet and everymornin his windows were all fogged up...lol...one day when it was like 30 degrees he had to take the ice scraper....to the inside... that might be it...but yeah rain-x works pretty good...try that...if not...maybe ur right about the floorboard leakin...check the back deck lid too...maybe the trunk is leaking into the interior of tha car...never know....

Thanks for bringing my old ass thread back from the dead.....i found that the problem was the plug filling the hole in the firewall where the AC shit goes had fallen out so water was getting in there....filled it with some expanding foam and problem solved.....then i wrecked my car and got another sedan that had all the proper plugs in the firewall so its not a problem anymore

yeah, i must have a leak somewhere, I have noticed water in the trunk sometimes. My evaporator has gone bad too, maybe that may be a reason as well. I have a towel in the car, but as soon as I wipe the windows off, it fogs right back up in like 2 seconds. I could be wiping the front windshield and can see if fog up again when I move the rag to another part of the windshield. Don't want to spend $200 to get the a/c fixed if it's going to be obsolete after the turbo install.
