Alright, I really shouldnt post this because your all going to ream me for it but oh well here she goes...

I'm installing two amps in my 92 sl and I feel farily comfortable because Ive installed amps a few times before..

And Im feeling lazy becaus Ive been sick for like two weeks... so Im like "screw doing all the work to wire it through the grommet, ill just drill through the firewall" well I usually know what im doing but I f up my calculations and nick the freaking brake hardline! :shakehead so, im like "crap... that liquid isnt brake fluid.. please no!" and I go hit the brakes and there squishy as my sisters belly! AHHHHH...

Go ahead laugh it up, I deserve it... so I use the emergeny brake and downshifting to get to a shop and drop it off so hopefully they can fix it tomorrow... how gay of me!

Then later I freaking cut myself shaving! :banghead: I never do that! I just couldnt get it together today... should have just stayed asleep!

well at least it wasnt one of my buddys cars, just a bruised ego mostly! anyway so everyone feel good about themselves for I am the most titanic loser of them all!!! BOW TO ME!:frown: :icon16:

That's bad, but not that bad dude, shit happens. Next time you'll know not to cut corners unless you have to. My ex gf's dad was braking with his emergency brake for I think two months, and it doens't help that he's in Norway...

Dude drilling a hole is so much harder than just using the grommet. WTF were you thinking.

Yeah, a lesson learned I guess... hopefully at least... I wonder if they will have to replace the entire line, or just the part I mucked up? oh well the cost of stupidity!... Thats pretty brave of him in Norway I didnt know that the e brake would work that long with constant usage!

Dude, seriously, im on some meds as of late and its messing with my mind! no joke! but the doctor said 4-6 weeks and its been 3 sooo...

But I wanted to go through the passenger side also so there would be less chance of interference. but shite on me at least the holes drilled now! :icon16:

I ran my power line to my subsfrom the battery, to the firewall (not piercing it), under my car (where you can unscrew a bracket over other lines running under your car and run it along that and then screw it back in) then up through my back seat (pull the two tabs and you can take out the bottom part of your back seat in like 10seconds) and then run it up through on of those holes with corks in them and to the back. It's a lot easier than it sounds.

I have to agree with Liquid Punk on this one as well. I ran my wires for my system throughy the passanger side of my car as well, right through the front quarter pannel. It worked out really nice, and looks good as well. Then take it down through the carpet, under your back seats, below the floor and then up and through.

You mean like they didn't want to fix your car or didn't want to give it back to you because they liked it so much!?! ;o/
