Alright, I felt this didn't belong in the relationship thread since it's mostly first dates that I'm talking about. Not relationships.
So with that... I want everyone to give up their smoothest dates of ALL time, or your friends if you're not baller enough to post.
And SUBthread! (woohoo! :loser:) smoothest moves / speeches / conversations to get said date. (or laid)
One rule: NO PICK UP LINES!!!
This could be nice and edumucational if you keep the bs lines out of it!
I got a phone number at a bar with a bunch of friends @ Mardi Gras, and I was totally the smoothest I've EVER been! (until my beads caught on my beer when I was leaning over the table and I spilled beer ALL over my crotch... which probably only helped though lol) and then when I called today (damit shouldda waited another day!) I'd never had a better ask-for-date conversation. I've been SO stoked cuz I totally felt like Hitch ... but, you know... white. :uhoh: So I figured everybody should share in the happiness by reminiscing and telling about their own best dates and how they got them.
hehe, I bet I totally bomb the date too :p damn those chickens and their non-hatching!

Kinda funny how I met my girl.
Back when I was trying to sell my car, she emailed me and etc. Well I ended up not being able to sell my car, but she found me on MySpace (yes I know) and we talked for a few weeks on there, then talked on the phone for a while. Eventually one night she got the idea for her to sneak out her house and I'd pick her up.
So for our 1st "date", we went to a park at 3am in the morning, sat in a gazebo by a pond, under the stars and just talked. It was cold too so we got our cuddle on and stuff. Then we finish off the night with a little speeding, she wanted to know how fast my car was.
So uh, lets see, actual dating tips.
-Be a gentleman
-Don't act desperate
-Don't be self-centered
-Be confident
-Be talkative
-Most importantly, just be yourself

Also let her talk if she's wanting to talk, dont butt in or feel like you have to make a comment for everything, just show her that you're interested and that you are listening.
Open doors, pull chairs out...basically everything that guys dont do anymore..do them..

i'm usually the quiet kid that just stands and says yeah to what ever conversation is going on, but after a few beers i start to actually start conversations and not just be that guy whos no one knows is even there. the only problem is if you drink to much and end up with a fat chick.

dude I drank too much and got a little too personal (just talking) at a bar a month ago. no big deal, but GOD it was SO embarassing. Now I've got a rule: NEVER get too drunk at the bar. A few is ok... good buzz or whatever, but DAMN! vote NOOOOO to too drunk

There's a first time for everything. Of course it's a nice change from all these horny bastards that look at anything that has a hole from donuts to exhaust pipes.

Make her laugh.
And LISTEN, instead of just waiting for your turn to speak.

True words...
I mumble, studder, and quiver. It makes me "cute" I guess. Being funny has helped me out a lot...and the ears have something to do with it, also.
