I have a 96 Golf GL. I have a problem with my e-brake..If i put my ebrake on and then take it off..it doesnt disengage immediately, it takes a little bit of driving for it to finally give way. Anyone have any helpful tips or tricks to fix this or tell me what is causing this

sounds like your e-brake cables are sticking. Its a very common problem, especially on mk3 and older vw's. replace both the driver and passenger cables.
