Well first off, naming the title that is completely something different that what your asking is going to be a noob thing and second, we all were noobs sometime or another. How else are you going to learn something? Welcome to the forums by the way.

The transaxle should be an unbolt affair as it's not hard to do at all. Do a search on it using the search engine. You'll find loads and loads of stuff on this forum. GL

well thanx man. i have a few other questions to ask as well. they may sound dumb but im a newb. 1.Can i put a d16z6 head on my d16a1.considering they are both 1.6?
2. what would be a cheap 2000 dollar swap for my car after this summer?

Z6 head on an A1?

This will not be a direct bolt on. Everything will line up, except the head bolt hole closest to the distributor will be about 1/4" out of alignment. Then there is also a timing belt issue since the TB pulley is set up for a DOHC motor, you will need to make a bracket to relocate the TB idler pulley.

This has been done, but it is not an easy swap.

Also, by using the Z6 head on an A1 you will be increasing the compression ratio ALOT!

If you meant to type D16A6 instead of D16A1, then the head will swap right over.

If you do have a DOHC D16A1 in your car, then focus on getting more power out of it with cams and a header, etc. The D16A1 motor can make 150-160 HP pretty easily with the right parts.

Well except for the wiring for the vtec, if you use your old harness and injectors, I believe the distributor is the only thing that'll be an issue, and I think its just a matter of swapping a plug for the OBD-0 one....
