im sure you'll all say it's gross, but when i had sun-stroke from really bad sunburn thet thing i was told you use was natural yoghurt. yes, it's nasty. aloe vera is good too. but i had the natural yoghurt on the area and it worked wonders on the sunburn. it will sting like a bithc though, no avoiding that.

That isn't that bad of a burn, just put on a shirt and tough it out, or go topless, dosen't matter to me. It'll be better in a few days. But yea, aloe vera works pretty good, just put it on every couple hours or so.

i only really had it on my back and shoulders, so i slept on my front and didnt roll over. it's not a pleasant experience but it did work.
the guy at the camp i stayed at told me the essentials you need for yourself or someone else who has sun-stroke:
7up or sprite for sugar
plain salted chips for salt
natural yoghurt for the burn. (it HAS to be natural)
plenty of that will help, it really worked for me.

Haha, I'm still peeling from keeping score at a softball tourney as school punishment. It wasn't really punishment cause softball chicks have the most awesome legs and asses...:evillol: Best think I have found is to soak in a tub with vinegar in it. Some kind or aloe gel takes the sting out while you sleep. Only thing I can say about your ass...break out the thongs and skirts(nothing to rub on)...then send pics

even with dark skin can't you get sunburn at all? i thought there was a point where it's so intense it's inevitable, or is that only under real extremes and not something that would happen say on the beach in 3-digit weather?
TerminalVelocity
03-02-2006, 07:59 PM
its not the heat, its the UV rays.
You can be in the artic and get a far worse sunburn than sitting on the beach.

yea, but that was an example.
i go skiing, and despite the fact it can be -20 deg. C you can still get major sunburn.

well...no offence but thats not a good example
because it has nothing to do with the heat like you just said...So it would have been better to say "couldnt you in a high UV index?"
and the answer is yes. The more pigment you have the harder it is to burn. That is why we tan, the body is repairing itself and adding more pigment so to help prevent it from getting hurt again.
A black fellow can still get a nasty burn, but wouldnt be as easy as say...a goth white girl. Just because of the Melatonin (spelling is way off...I think...sorry).

yea, but if i said "so, could you get burned in conditions with a high UV index?" they'd probably think "WTF?" it's just easier to talk about heat, people accept heat as the reason for sunburn, not UV so it's easier that way.
but yes, i was wrong.
