ok i was at school the other night and when i got to my car the battery was dead. and i mean dead, the led from my car alarm wouldn't even blink. so i boost it, drive it around for a bit and it's fine up until tonight when it happened again at work, it dies completely. I checked my battery, it's still in good condition. Next guess is the alternator..but i don't see how it would just die all of a sudden while i was at work..especially have no juice what so ever. Do you guys suggest checking to see if i have a short somewhere? maybe something with my system? loose wires? any advice would be great guys. Thanks

If your battery went completly dead its shot and time for a new one... it'll never hold a charge.

maybe the ground wire is loose. that happens on my car sometimes.
but yeah if nothing turns on, when the engine is off, its the battery.

If the charging system checks out ok, it's time to start checking for a draw. In most cases it can be done easily. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Hook up a test light between the neg. cable & neg. terminal. If the light is bright there is a draw. Start removing fuses one by one watching for the light to dim. Once the circuit is found it's time for further inspection.
