B&m Short Shifter, Got A Question...

Okay so originally I purchased a B&M SHORT SHIFTER for my eclipse, it worked great...


I got in a car accident and my shift pin broke...


long the shop welded it together, but didnt put one of the shifter bushings (plastic washers) on...

the weld broke while I was driving... (sucks i was stuck in 2nd gear thank god, i was able to get off the street heh..)

anyways B&M sent me the new parts I needed, bushings(plastic washers) and the metal pin...


my question is, does anyone out there have the instructions for install, and can you scan/fax them to me, my email is [email protected], if you would rather fax then contact me at my email or pm me on this forum...


or could any one tell me where the bushings (plastic washers) go during the install?

I think they are on the B&M website.

Or do a search on google. That is how I found them for my friends RSX B&M shifter install.

scanner at home isn't working right. I'll take it to work with me tomorrow and post it for you then. SOrry about the delay. I tried to search the web for you but came up with nothing.

Maybe once I post it it's something we should keep up.

IIRC, one of the DSM tuning shops has instustions that I saw posted like yesterday or something. If I wasnt almost dead I would go look for them. I think they were from TRE or something. Maybe Mach V. Just run a search for "shifter" or something and you should find it fairly easy.

Can you explain which whole does what for SHIFT REDUCTION


isnt it like 25% to 50 % reduction,

When I scan it I'll scan both sides of hte instruction sheet for you so you can walk through the whole install if you need to. I'm at work right now but don't have access to scanner till I'm on my lunch.

one quick last question, when I tighten the 12mm locking nut as far as it goes in, shifting is rlly, rlly stiff, but when I loosen it up a bit shifting isnt stiff at all... What did you guys do?

well I bought my kit partially assembled. Someone had used it before but didnt' want it now so that nut was on I think. But my shifting is really really tight. It's a nice feel once you get use to it.
