American Graffiti

There was someone that posted earlier saying they wanted to find some DIY Diecast kits. Well, this may not be much, but Motor Max's line, American Graffiti, has some available. This particular one I picked up is a 1955 Chevy Stepside. The body is already primed and ready to paint and has enough parts to resemble plastic kits a bit. The bed of the truck is plastic and molded in a creme color along with the seats and dash. It also includes 2 sets of custom flame decals.

Grabbed this at Wal Mart for $5. I have no plans on doing this just yet. They also had a '57 Chevy.

1/24? was it meant to have the final paint job to be primer? bcz i've never heard of a metal kit that was made to have someone else paint it. (although i wish they did.)

That's the point of this model. It is primered so that the consumer can paint it as they want. Were you really reading my post?

The American Graffiti series has been out for a while, I just didn't pay any mind to them thinking they were movie cars. (until I saw the 300C). They have plenty of classic cars available (in 1:18).

You will most likely find these kits where they keep the plastic models...

@hobbes i read your post but since you are in a modfiying forum i thought you meant like yeah this car is all ready for paint because we (mostly) all mod here. never heard of a metal kit where it actully lets you paint it. i wish maisto's kits where like that.
